The Ho Chi Minh City Karatedo Federation held a conference between its Standing Committee and directly affiliated committees, presented personnel appointment decisions, formally introduced its specialist committees and initiated the activity programme for the 2025–2030 term.

Preliminary results from the 2025 National Karate Black-Belt Grading Examination show that 224 karate practitioners met the requirements. Their cases will be submitted to the Vietnam Sports Administration for review and a recognition decision.

More than 1,000 athletes and coaches from 50 units took part in the 2026 Ho Chi Minh City Youth and Age-Group Karate Championships. On this occasion, the Ho Chi Minh City Karatedo Federation presented Certificates of Commendation to coaches and athletes for outstanding results at the 2026 Southeast Asian Karate Championships.

Ho Chi Minh City Karate placed second overall among 70 delegations at the 26th National Karate Club Championships 2026 in Đắk Lắk, while also topping the over-18 age-group standings.

On September 6, 2026, the Ho Chi Minh City Karatedo Federation (HKF) successfully held its third Karatedo Black Belt Examination and Examiner Classification Session of 2026. Candidates completed a comprehensive programme spanning Kata, Kihon, Kumite, physical fitness, theoretical knowledge and refereeing skills, contributing to the standardisation of professional quality across the city’s Karatedo community.

On the evening of 28 February 2025, representatives of the Ho Chi Minh City Karatedo Federation (HKF) attended the celebration of Emperor Naruhito’s 65th birthday at the Royal Hotel Saigon. The event enabled HKF to strengthen ties with the Japanese community and organisations, while broadening opportunities for cooperation in Karatedo training, exchanges and development in Ho Chi Minh City.
