42 Nhan Le Nghia Karatedo Chapter Practitioners Take Part in the 2026 Third Belt Promotion Examination
The examination on 20 September 2026 provided an opportunity to review training progress while contributing to the assessment of Karatedo teaching and coaching quality at the chapter.

On 20 September 2026, Nhan Le Nghia Karatedo Chapter held its 2026 Third Belt Promotion Examination, with 42 practitioners participating under the supervision stipulated by the Ho Chi Minh City Karatedo Federation. The examination served to review and assess the practitioners’ training progress while contributing to the evaluation of teaching, coaching and implementation of the Karatedo training programme at the chapter.
Held periodically, the examination aims to ensure that belt-grade recognition is carried out seriously and in accordance with Federation regulations. For practitioners, it is an opportunity to reflect on their training journey; for the chapter, it is a necessary checkpoint for further strengthening professional standards and the quality of grassroots training.
Examination organised in line with plans and technical regulations
According to the registration records, 42 practitioners took part in the examination at different levels. The chapter implemented plans for the organisation of the examination and the preparation of the Examination Council and Judging Panel, submitting them to the Federation in accordance with regulations. This preparation helped ensure that the assessment was conducted within a unified framework, from organisation through to consideration of belt-grade recognition.
The Examination Council was chaired by Mr. Đinh Vạn Năng, Chapter Head, with Ms. Lê Ninh Kiều serving as Member-Secretary. The proposed Judging Panel included Mr. Nguyễn Hà Tuấn Anh and Ms. Lê Ninh Kiều. Clearly defining the responsible personnel is an important element, reflecting the chapter’s responsibility for the quality of each examination and for the practitioners’ long-term training journey.
Every belt grade marks a training milestone
The examination is not only intended to assess a belt grade. It is also an opportunity for practitioners to measure their training spirit against higher expectations of discipline, perseverance, self-control and respect in the dojo. Recognition of one stage also brings new requirements for the next.
The image of practitioners holding certificates and yellow belts at the event reflects meaningful moments of recognition after their training. At every level, the value of an examination lies not only in the milestone achieved, but also in the consistency, seriousness and spirit of overcoming one’s own limits cultivated through every training session.
From a training perspective, periodic assessments provide the chapter with a further basis for evaluating the implementation of its training programme. They also help practitioners better understand that Karatedo is measured not only by technique, but also by the development of conduct and character through sustained training.
A training spirit without age limits
A highlight of the 2026 Third Belt Promotion Examination was the presence of a practitioner over 60 years of age. Among the many younger practitioners, the image of an older person still wearing a Karatedo uniform, stepping onto the training mat and taking part in the examination was a valued expression of the spirit of lifelong learning.
This participation was not simply a journey towards a new belt grade. It was also evidence that physical training, willpower and self-improvement can begin at many ages. On the same training mat, different generations learn together, strive together and uphold the foundational values of martial arts.
Contributing to the standardisation of grassroots Karatedo training
Through assessments and belt promotion examinations at its chapters, the Ho Chi Minh City Karatedo Federation continues to work towards standardising training, enhancing professional quality at the grassroots level and spreading the positive values of Karate among generations of practitioners. Every examination held in accordance with regulations forms part of the process of building a training environment founded on order, responsibility and clear direction.
The moment when 42 practitioners, together with their coach and organisers, gathered after the examination brought a serious and enthusiastic day of activities to a close. The certificates, new belts and shared joy will motivate the practitioners to continue their training journey ahead.
Karate is a training journey that can begin at many ages, while the spirit of surpassing oneself must be nurtured through every day of practice and every new milestone.
